A weekend with Nanny, Pappy, and Aunt Mo!

We had a great time this weekend with Nanny, Pappy, and Aunt Mo! We went to the mall for lunch on Friday and then went to La Caretta for dinner on Friday night! Saturday (day) Daddy had work and Mommy had work Saturday (night) so during the day Mommy, Nanny, Pappy, Aunt Mo and ORION took at easy at the Peaks of Otter Winery and the Peaks of Otter Lodge Resturant! We did a little wine tasting then enjoyed the BEAUTIFUL scenic drive up the mountain and Blue Ridge Parkway! The leaves were AWESOME and we had a great day!! Thanks for a wonderful weekend!

Blue Mountain!!! Welcome to the SOUTH!

Well, yet another great weekend here!! Beautiful weather and another great FESTIVAL! I am starting to think my grandmother is right.. maybe we are gypsies! ha! But seriously we had an awesome weekend! We took the camper out early on Saturday and enjoyed about 12 hours of music, food, and entertainment before cuddling up in our camper to beat the freezing temperature! IT WAS PERFECT! As usually Brian didn't meet any "strangers" and before long we were buddies with everyone! :-) Enjoy the pictures and videos!! The videos make us seem like total HILLBILLIES! Bluegrass music YEEHAA! Ha! Well after all we were in the "moon shine capital of the world" NO ONE let us forget that! Every one said (in a very southern accent) "Welcome to Franklin County Rocky Mount the Moon Shine Capital of the WORLD!" haha! Maybe they should discover a new claim to fame!

OH and a shout out for Blue Mountain!! Next year I want everyone to come out and join us!!

Oktoberfest...

Orion, Heather, and Mommy went Christmas shopping early Saturday morning at Kolhs and Orion decided to take a nap... this brings new meaning to SHOP TIL YOU DROP!

WELCOME to Oktoberfest...

we're all a little German during Oktoberfest!!

They are out of order... but to explain... Orion and Mommy were doing the chicken dance (below) and they made Orion the CHICKEN! There is only ONE chicken!! He is so special! And (above) he struts his stuff in the hat!!

We were entertained all day by our wonderful son and by these lovely men... (below) We truly had one of the best days.... The entire ride up to Wintergreen I teased Brian about how good of a planner he was (NOT) because of the horrible weather and then we got there we thought we would be the only ones with a baby... but it wasn't long before Brian knew everyone there, we had people holding our baby, taking pictures of us, giving us free drinks, AND giving us a standing ovation for Brian's amazing TANGO! I just stepped on his feet! What an awesome Oktoberfest... next year we are headed to MUNICH for the real thing!!! ha!
